Project description

This project involved the supply of Tee, Basket and Y Strainers for SBM Guyana, designed and fabricated in accordance with ASME B31.3 and ASME Sec VIII Div 1, delivered with ABS Certification. The scope included 83 units in total, with key complexity arising from 9 units of heavy wall thickness strainers requiring hub-end connections. These specialized units demanded precise forging lead times with short lead time. The most critical challenge was achieving full fabrication of these heavy-wall hub-end strainers within an extremely compressed 6-week window, while maintaining strict compliance and ensuring zero non-conformities. Testing requirements followed Appendix A, Sch 4140, in line with specification demands. The strainers were built up to 2500lbs rating. Materials for pipes, flanges, and fittings were procured from reliable Korean and European foundaries.
