T-Strainer

T strainers are filtration equipment designed to remove solid contaminants from congested pipelines with limited maneuvering areas while maintaining efficient flow in larger industrial systems. T strainers provide great debris-holding capacity, making them suitable for higher pressure and heavier-duty applications. They are commonly used to protect pumps, heat exchangers, and sensitive equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical, and water treatment facilities.

Compared to Y strainers, T strainers offer easier access for cleaning, especially for various pipe sizes in confined spaces. Unlike basket strainers, which provide the highest dirt-holding capacity and are often used in low-pressure-drop applications, T strainers serve as a more streamlined alternative where space and piping layout are key considerations. In contrast to cone strainers, which are temporary strainers used during startup and commissioning, T strainers are designed for minimal pressure loss and continuous operation.
